About LastMinuteTrips.net
We publish strategy, not listings — because a method for finding today's real price is useful forever, and a list of yesterday's deals is spam by Friday.
What this site is
LastMinuteTrips.net is an independent editorial site about one narrow problem: booking a good trip when departure is days away, not months. Every page is built around a repeatable method — price anchoring, flexible searching, booking order, honest cost accounting — that works regardless of which booking sites or airlines exist next year.
What we will never publish
- Price listings. Any specific price we printed would be wrong within hours. We teach you to find the live price instead.
- Manufactured urgency. No countdowns, no "3 seats left," no deal-of-the-day theater. That's the behavior our guides teach you to see through.
- Advice we haven't pressure-tested. Widely repeated myths — like the idea that airlines dump unsold seats cheap at the gate — don't survive contact with how fares actually work, so they're not here. When a tactic stops working, we remove it.
- Thin filler. If a topic can be covered in three sentences, it gets three sentences on an existing page — not its own page.
How pages are maintained
Guides are written and periodically re-checked by people who book travel this way. Each page notes internally when it was last reviewed; rules that depend on regulations (like refund windows) or industry practice (like final-payment timing) are verified against current sources at review time. If you spot something that's gone stale, tell us — corrections ship fast.
How the site is funded
Where the site carries advertising or affiliate links, they're labeled, and they never determine what a guide recommends — the method comes first, and every guide works even if you never click anything. The full policy, including how we handle corrections and reader data, lives in our editorial policy and privacy policy.
